Xometry Acquires MakeTime - FAQs

I’m a MakeTime customer. How do I get an account with Xometry?

Your account will be transitioned over to Xometry and you will receive a registration e-mail with your new account information shortly. (they will get the e-mail on 7/10).

 

I have parts saved in MakeTime’s Parts Library. Can I access them?

In the coming weeks, we will be moving your files over to you new Xometry account.

 

I have a current order with MakeTime - what happens to that?

All current orders made with MakeTime will be processed and fulfilled by MakeTime. You should receive your parts as normal. All future orders will go through Xometry.

 

Will I have the same sales contact?

MakeTime’s sales team is being merged with Xometry’s. You will continue to have a great sales rep - he/she may be the same or may be different.

 

Who will make my parts moving forward?

Your parts will be made by members of the Xometry Partner Network, the industry’s largest and most comprehensive with over 2,300 partners. MakeTime suppliers are in the process of transitioning over to the Xometry Partner Network.

 

Will the services & capabilities I like from Xometry and/or Maketime continue to be available?

Yes. We plan on continuing to offer the same range of services you enjoy today. In addition to CNC Machining and Sheet Metal Fabrication, Xometry provides Injection Molding, 3D Printing, and Urethane Casting services, which will be new to MakeTime customers.


How does this merger benefit me?

The combination of the companies gives you access to over 2,300 skilled shops, massive capacity, and a wide range of manufacturing processes including CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Injection Molding, 3D Printing, and Urethane Casting. It also gives you access to more engineering expertise and better technology.
